Congratulations – you’ve been invited for a job interview for your dream job! That’s already a great achievement. However, the real work is only just beginning. In order to impress in the interview and be actually be offered the job you need prepare, practice and perform.
The following aspects are covered in the workbook:
What you need to consider, research and understand.
The more you know about the company, the people interviewing you and the position, the more prepared you will be to answer their questions and present yourself in a way which matches with their vision of a future staff member.
Take the time to find out as much as you can to ensure you’re well prepared and focused on THIS position in THIS company.
Practice makes perfect. Yes, you need to practice.
If you practice answering the most common interview questions you will be less nervous and be ready to include the key points when you are put on the spot.
You should also be prepared to answer competency-based questions, drawing on relevant examples from your previous experience.
It is THE day. You’ve prepared and practiced. Now it’s time to give it your all.
Having prepared so thoroughly you want to be in the best mental and physical condition so that you are relaxed and focused on your interview.
Exercise, hydrating and breathing will all help you to perform to the best of your ability on the day.
